So this has been a weird week. Work has been super busy so I haven’t had as much time to work on the blog as I would’ve liked but I think we’re ready for quarantine if it were to come. I hope.
Kat is doing great with her leg braces, we’ve been recommended to work on walking on uneven surfaces (our yard is full of mole ruts) and to make an obstacle course to work on stepping over obstacles rather than running ram shod over them and tripping like a drunk in heels. And we also need to work on her core strength to help her balance.
The garden is at a bit of a standstill between the rain and the new ‘stay at home’ order. I’m hoping to order what I need from a local lumberyard because it’s now not recommended to drive up to the hardware store in the city. It kinda sucks because I had someone willing to drive there with me and let me use their pickup truck. Hopefully, I can get my order delivered (maybe lumberyards will be considered an essential function?) and I can tell them they can just drop it off in the yard so we can follow social distancing.
Anyone else trying to work on their gardens weather providing? Feel free to email me photos so I can have garden envy!
Despite everything, we got some new pets. They don’t have names except the biggest one whom I’ve come to call Sebastian. Any recommendations for the other two? Also, this photo was taken when I first got them and Sebastian now has a new shell, it’s a big white spiky looking thing.
Who is about to start looking at stay at home moms in a whole new light? If you need something to keep the kids busy while you try to finish your coffee or at least use the bathroom in peace I found a website that is fun and educational.
And because we all need a laugh, Billy sent me this since I’m the avid reader and post-apocalyptic genres are kinda my jam. Here is this week’s menu:
Thursday: Ham and Bean soup with leftover ham from Sunday.
Friday: Roast Chicken
Saturday: Breakfast for dinner
Sunday: Chicken noodle soup with leftover chicken from Friday.
Monday: More salad while I can get the greens.
Tuesday: Sheet Pan Fajitas from my stock of freezer meals.
What is everyone having this week?
