I hope everyone had a good new year. I worked both days and was in bed before 11 on new years eve, yup I’ve reached that level of old.
So anyone paying attention to our Instagram will see that having Joey home has seen a calmer Kathleen, which has been rather nice compared to her usual Tasmanian devil speed. I’ve also posted a few dinner pics on Instagram and they were met with lots of love.
We got Kat to open her palate a bit more this week, we tried fish sticks for the first time and loved them, we’re slowly starting to like eggs I just gotta find out the exact way she likes them cooked. But it’s not chicken, apples, and grapes so I’ll take that for a win!
We hung out with Kelsey and Kyler yesterday and had fun. Kat hasn’t been around little babies much so it was a learning experience for her. And Kelsey got much needed mommy friend time.
I got the playpen out for Kyler and after he went home Kat decided she wanted to get in. We haven’t used the playpen with her since the weather turned cold and therefore limited her outdoor activities.
So naturally she was curious, she loved it surprisingly and chilled out in there till I got done making her bedtime milk (90% goats milk 10% almond milk). Velcro wasn’t too keen on the noisy visitor and hid most of the time. He’s not used to babies that young although Kat wasn’t much older when she came home.

Today: Leftovers! Joey went home Sunday so we’ll probably have a lot of leftovers since he isn’t here to eat them for lunches.
Thursday: Salsa Chicken Bake
Friday: Salmon with Brussel Sprouts, kinda splurging for my birthday since salmon isn’t cheap.
Sunday: Soup and Sandwiches.
Monday: Loaded Cauliflower Casserole
Tuesday: Taco Lettuce Wraps, I honestly don’t miss the tortilla in this one
