So with Thanksgiving next week I’ve got a full plate (pun totally intended) with work and family dinner that Saturday I’m going to share the last two weeks of the month this week and won’t post again till the first Wednesday of December.
Kathleen had her 18 month doctor visit on Monday and she is in the 75th percentile for both weight and height! She is still stupid picky about her food and eats like a bird but she’s gaining weight so I guess it’s still adding up.
We’ve been giving her almond milk for the past month only to find out that it’s not part of the WIC program so next month she’ll be on goats milk which is still full fat but has a lower lactose. Hopefully she’s not truly lactose intolerant cause then we’ll have to swap her to soy.
I had a productive morning yesterday and got some stuff done for the chickens and was able to check all the fluids in my car which I’ve been neglecting. Now the girls won’t have frozen water and I know that I’m not going to break down anytime soon due to lack of oil or brake fluid haha.
So far they’re loving the new coop and have figured out the ins and outs of it. Once summer comes and there are plenty of bugs and fresh grass the feed consumption should go down which saves money and makes for healthier chickens and eggs. The new waterer is the cup type rather than the fount they had so less will be wasted due to them making a mess of it and it’s easier to fill as well.
On to the menu!
Today: the usual; leftovers, popcorn, fruit, and cheese
Thursday: Garlic Parmesan Chicken Bake
Friday: we’re trying something new called King Ranch Chicken Mac
Saturday: kind of a cheat, we picked up a frozen meal at the store
Sunday: helper again, last week we ended up doing a chicken velvetta helper so this week will be hamburger.
Monday: Mushroom Alfredo Bake
Wednesday: leftovers, popcorn, fruit, and cheese
Thursday: we both work that night so I’m gonna cook up some Spinach Ravioli Lasagna early in the day and pack it to work.
Friday: Beef & Barley stew. I’m gonna throw this in the crockpot since I’ll be prepping for our family dinner and running errands all-day
Saturday: Family Thanksgiving. I’m making green bean casserole, blueberry crisp, and cranberry brie bombs.
Sunday: Cheesy Garlic Sausage and Bacon Carbonara with some crusty bread
Monday: simple Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese
Tuesday: my Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas with a twist, I’m gonna use leftover Thanksgiving turkey.
